Description
Utility and luxury merge in our Garden City family. Hand-rubbed finishes that continue inside the shade make these adjustable sconces very attractive in their all-metal versions. Metal-rimmed white glass shades allow more light diffusion in another, equally appealing option. The former enhances its function as a task light; the latter amplifies its accent potential. Machined details such as the rings on the cast-metal backplate and the turned socket holder give Garden City a vintage industrial feel. We wire Garden City with an on/off switch, making it ideal for a bedside reading lamp or as a replacement fixture in historic homes that lack a separate wall switch.

Brand Information
The family-owned Hudson Valley Lighting was actually born from a demonstration of fluorescent lighting at the 1939 New York World’s Fair. That demo was done by William Littman, who operated a lighting business out of his garage but moved to New York’s Hudson River Valley in the late 1940s out of a need for more space. The beautiful surroundings inspired the name of his lighting company and the artful light fixtures they create. Today, Hudson Valley also includes Troy Lighting, Sonneman and Corbett Lighting, but the commitment to creating high-quality lighting with nods to the past remains as strong as ever.
