Looking for a unique hanging light that looks fresh and modern, yet offers timeless good looks that will never go out of style? By George, we think you’ve found it! The wonderful Washington 5-light chandelier from Hudson Valley Lighting is a curvy, charismatic charmer with a look that complements decors ranging from classic traditional to cool contemporary. Its complex, captivating and seamless shape is created by highly skilled glass artisans, with one carefully pouring molten glass into a paste mold while the other consistently turns it. The clear glass showcases the aged brass candelabra and included exposed filament bulbs inside. Gorgeous in a foyer, kitchen or dining room, the Washington chandelier can also be enjoyed in a bathroom or on a covered porch or patio, thanks to its damp area rating.

The family-owned Hudson Valley Lighting was actually born from a demonstration of fluorescent lighting at the 1939 New York World’s Fair. That demo was done by William Littman, who operated a lighting business out of his garage but moved to New York’s Hudson River Valley in the late 1940s out of a need for more space. The beautiful surroundings inspired the name of his lighting company and the artful light fixtures they create. Today, Hudson Valley also includes Troy Lighting, Sonneman and Corbett Lighting, but the commitment to creating high-quality lighting with nods to the past remains as strong as ever.
